Different exercises generatedifferent forms of behavioral evidence.

A structured interview and a dynamic team simulation should not automatically be interpreted through the same scoring logic.

This is why a single scoring logic is not applied to every exercise in The Leapers methodology. BARS is used where the quality level of a behaviour needs to be assessed; BOS is used where repeated behavioral patterns need to be observed in a structured way.

BARS and BOS are established behavioral-assessment approaches. The Leapers did not invent BARS or BOS. Our differentiation is in defining the behavioral architecture first, selecting the appropriate approach according to exercise type, connecting the approach to human assessors and AI decision support, and making scoring more explainable.

These are tendencies, not fixed rules — the right approach depends on how a specific exercise is designed, and may vary by context.

Consistency does not mean forcing every exercise into one scoring model.

This does not guarantee accuracy — it constrains how the analysis is structured.

A shared language between assessors

BARS and BOS also create a common language between human assessors and support calibration. Internal calibration thresholds are not published.
